Mission

The Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles (CCCLA) is committed to promoting the interests of its members and empowering Chinese Americans doing business in the Great Los Angeles area. As a politically independent, membership-based, volunteer-driven, and not-for-profit organization, CCCLA provides insightful and meaningful contributions regarding business connections, policy guidance, and cultural education to foster trade, business growth, and new opportunities. With a century-long tradition of leadership and service, CCCLA strives to advance the economic prosperity and cultural understanding of the Chinese American community in Los Angeles. We are proud to be supported by prominent Chinese American leaders across a variety of disciplines in education, business and entrepreneurship, healthcare, and social justice.

CCCLA has three pillars crucial to its core principles:

Business Connections

We serve as a connection point for the Chinese business community, and promote networking opportunities and resources for our individual and corporate members through Monthly Membership Only organized events. We provide a forum for the Chinese American and Greater Los Angeles business communities to discuss issues that impact and are relevant to both groups.

Community Empowerment

We provide a platform for established leaders and pioneers in the Chinese American community to mentor, sponsor and give back to rising younger members of the next generation. We have an established fund that provides grant and scholarship opportunities across higher education, business and entrepreneurship, healthcare and social justice.

Cultural Legacy

We promote cultural awareness of the Chinese heritage and history, so that these rich traditions are passed down to future generations. Through this sharing and through organization of large-scale community events around key Chinese holidays like Lunar New Year and Moon Festival, we improve inter-ethnic relations for all Chinese Americans in Los Angeles.

The Future 100 Years for Chinese Americans in Los Angeles

In 1850, a small group of Chinese arrived in Los Angeles. By 1900, there were 3,000 Chinese living in the Chinatown area. Today, there are 160,000 Chinese American owned businesses bringing in more than $70 billion in taxable revenues and employing more than 500,000 people. It goes without saying that Chinese American business have contributed an important role in shaping the future of Los Angeles.

What might our future look like?

The Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles (CCCLA) is a politically independent, membership based, volunteer driven, not-for-profit organization that has been leading and serving the business community since 1955.  CCCLA promotes the interests of our member companies by encouraging trade, business growth and new opportunities. We work hard on behalf our members, offering insightful and meaningful contribution with respect to business connections, policy guidance and cultural education. We lead initiatives that positively empower Chinese American doing business in the Great Los Angeles. We establish scholarships – supported by prominent Chinese American leaders, for the benefit of the next generation of leaders – across a variety of disciplines in education, business and entrepreneurship, healthcare, and social justice.  Through these programs, we believe we can enhance our social and economic influence within the greater community at large, and provide a platform for Chinese American businesses to flourish.

To our current Chamber members, thank you for your continued support. Los Angeles is thriving, join us as we continue to grow.

For Our Future, let’s rebuild the Chinatown brand and establish The 100 Years’ Foundation for Chinese American generations to come. It will be a time for us to deploy significant resources to renovate, rejuvenate and elevate Chinatown, and make it our new home.

Together, we can and will build a stronger community where everyone belongs.

SPONSORSHIP

For more than 35 years, the Miss Los Angeles Chinatown Pageant has been one of the most anticipated events in the Los Angeles Community. Every year an attendance of more than 900 are expected to come and share in this black time gala event. There are approximately 20 young ladies who are chosen as finalists to compete for the title of Miss Los Angeles Chinatown. They spend 10 weeks in preparation for this big event where they learn techniques on public speaking and presentation as well as the history of the current affairs surrounding the Chinese American Community.
